Why Should You Look out For Affiliate Stuffers?

If you have been paying attention to the latest developments in our industry lately, you have probably heard of the latest issues that have come up between eBay and affiliate stuffers. The fact is you can not and should not stuff your visitors’ computers with cookies without them having clicked on your affiliate ads. Now, I’ll be the first to tell you that a lot of people manage to do this without getting noticed for a while, but greed eventually brings most people down. Affiliate networks are working diligently to find ways to stop stuffers, and you can get sued.

But more importantly, if you are running a forum or a blog, you need to watch out for those nasty stuffers. Stuffing can be done through user profile or even comments on blogs, so your site maybe spreading around cookies without you noticing it. Affiliate stuffing make look very smart on the paper, but it is against the law. In a later post, I will reveal a solution that I know was used for a while by superaffiliates, but don’t go trying anything as it’s unethical and brings down all affiliates who are working hard to make a decent living in this business.
